AGF works with Catholic schools that share our commitment to equity, transformation, and sustainability. We don’t fund institutions — we invest in ecosystems of change.
The following benchmarks define what we expect in an AGF partnership — and what partners can expect from us in return.
Shared Strategic Responsibility
We plan, build, and review together.
AGF and its partner schools jointly shape the priorities, plans, and reviews of any initiative that receives AGF support.
It's about collaborative leadership.
Transparency & Accountability
Each school is expected to provide open, timely, and accurate information on finances, program implementation, and progress related to the AGF Program.
Transparency is essential. It enables informed, effective, and targeted support from AGF – and ensures mutual trust.
AGF Standard for Financial Sustainability
An AGF partnership means working together to ensure that each school covers at least 30% of its operational costs through self-generated income within five years.
Starting in 2025, each school must demonstrate 6% annual growth toward this goal.
AGF supports this transition by investing in the school’s organisational development and capacity building through a local consulting network.
GOrganisational Development & Capacity Building
AGF offers targeted support for organisational development and capacity building where schools express a need and demonstrate commitment.
What AGF Is Not
-
A Traditional Donor
We don’t simply provide funding and wait for reports. We engage in strategy, co-creation, and learning — side by side with our partners.
-
A Passive Observer
We don’t support programs we cannot see, shape, or review. Transparency and shared planning are non-negotiable.
-
A One-Sided Benefactor
We expect schools and congregations to contribute — not just financially, but in leadership, innovation, and accountability.
-
A Quick-Fix Funder
We don’t fund short-term activities or temporary relief. AGF invests in long-term, structural change for girls and their communities.
-
A Top-Down Authority
We don’t dictate solutions. We co-create them. Partners are expected to engage as equals — not recipients.
